We recently reviewed in our Board Meeting the financial date through May 31, 2008 and are very impressed with the results. We appreciate the projections, planning and analyses that you have done, and most importantly, your leadership and hands-on management. Our pharmacy initiative has developed into an excellent working partnership.

Grubbs is a great little neighborhood pharmacy on the NW corner of East Capitol and 4th St, SE. The business has been in the same building on Capitol Hill for over 100 years, serving the people of the Hill with quality service that has been good enough to keep it going despite the mega drug stores, Internet and discount chains all competing for their business. Check out the old picture of the place in the 1800's by the prescription pick-up.
The store can fill your prescription needs, all over the counter medications and medical equipment needs.
It's a small place that provides fast service from a friendly staff--none of delays you suffer through at larger pharmacies like CVS. Your prescription IS ALWAYS done when they say it will be done. The staff is more than qualified to answer any questions that might have about your meds or the equipment that they sell.
So take a step back in time and enjoy competent, friendly and fast service for a change.

Dear Dr. Kim
I have found the staff at Grubb’s invariably helpful when I need guidance.
Karolyn Paige goes beyond that. Last week when she mentioned that the walker I am using didn’t move smoothly, she recommended some balls that you stock and offered to have them installed while I waited for my prescription. Sold!!!
The week before, when I expressed disappointment that the single ply recycled bath tissue I purchase regularly hadn’t been available recently, she put in an order for it.
Staff like Karolyn is a plus, all around.

Dear Dr. Kim:
I have written in the past when I felt that basic rules of good service have been lacking at Grubb’s. That’s why I am really pleased to write this time for just the opposite reason- to commend and thank your staff for outstanding service rendered to me earlier this month.
I became ill in Oklahoma a few weeks ago and one of the prescriptions I was given was unavailable in this part of the country. One of your staff…went out of her way to call the pharmacy in Oklahoma about the prescription, then figured out how to combine ingredients that were available in this are to fill the order.
She did everything I expected, and then some more, to make sure that my prescription was filled. I really appreciate this effort…
